Renate G. Justin was born in Germany and with the help of the Quakers (American Friends Service Committee) and many other generous people, she and her family came to the United States in 1939. She now lives in Colorado where she has practiced family medicine with her daughter. Renate has published essays in lay and medical journals as well as in anthologies.
Her memoir, What I Have to Tell is scheduled to release later this year. The book is the fascinating but disturbing story of her escape from Nazi Germany to the US where she faced a brand new set of trials and tribulations. Her courage and commitment to humanity shine brilliantly. Not a dry eye in the house.
