Ellen Raine

Ellen Raine has been writing since elementary school. Splat! is the result of a teacher’s great idea to get kids interested in writing. Ellen was fascinated with peacocks at the time and used the peacock imagery to make a statement about bullying, self-esteem, and self-image.

She is currently the secretary of the local chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, an accomplished ballerina and dancer, yearbook photographer, and a teacher’s aide in English. Her soft sculptures were selected for the district art show. She has been selected Citizen of the Month two times and was responsible for the morning grade school announcements.

Ellen enjoys riding bikes, volunteering, reading, travel, and cooking. She loves animals and does pet sitting for dogs, cats, and rabbits. This is her first publication, but stay tuned…her second book is brewing!
